Types of Positions at CBLPath
Non-Technical
The Non-Technical Departments at CBLPath, Inc. are comprised of professionals who manage the administrative side of patient care. Roles include, Data Entry, Case Management, Client Service and Quality Assurance.
Technical
The Technical departments at CBLPath, Inc. consists of NYS licensed professionals who possess a wide range of expertise in processing various specimen types. Roles include, Grossing, Embedding, Microtomy and IHC specimen processing.
Technical Specialty Laboratories
Cytology
CBLPath offers a unique opportunity and experience for any cytotechnologist ambitious enough to broaden their diagnostic skills beyond GYN cytology. Working in conjunction with expert Cytopathologists and medical personnel alike the cytotechnologist serves as a crucial element of our cytology diagnostic team and provides the foundation from which the cytology department excels. The cytotechnologist will also be involved with outcome correlation data between morphology, next generation sequencing and surgical pathology results with an opportunity to publish and present findings at national meetings.
FISH Cytology
The FISH/Cytogenetics Department at CBLPath processes a variety of specimens including peripheral bloods, bone marrows, and formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissues. We feature 12 FISH Panels, such as MDS or MM Panels and our test menu includes 26 individual gene targets. Some of our tests are FDA approved companion diagnostic tests such as HER2 and ALK IVD. The department exposes you to a variety of different sample types and testing in an intimate environment. Our analysis feature manual and automated scoring as well as automated processing in the wet lab. We pride ourselves on our quality and like to know that we make a difference in our patients’ lives.
Flow
The flow cytometry laboratory group is comprised of an enthusiastic group of professionals dedicated to enhancing and advancing treatment with a goal to improve the lives of cancer patients. These individuals provide technical expertise in 8+ color flow cytometry and oncology.
Molecular
The Molecular Pathology Laboratory offers molecular diagnostic testing for a variety of clinical indications focusing on neoplastic diseases diagnosis, prognosis, therapeutic decision making, and disease monitoring. The laboratory uses a spectrum of molecular techniques and platforms to evaluate nucleic acids isolated from patient samples, including real-time PCR, capillary electrophoresis, and pyrosequencing. The Molecular Pathology Laboratory works closely with other laboratories in the CBL Path, Inc., including IHC, Flow Cytometry the Cytogenetics Laboratory, to provide integrated and cutting-edge precision molecular and genomic diagnostic services to patients with neoplastic diseases related to cytopathology and hematopathology
