Gastrointestinal, Uropathology and General Pathology
Pathology is the study of microscopic structures of tissues.
It is performed by specialist medical practitioners (anatomical pathologists) and used to diagnosis benign and malignant disease in tissue specimens that have been surgically removed.
The specimens are prepared in the laboratory and special stains are used to color the otherwise transparent tissue for analysis under the microscope.
