Director - Breast Pathology
Dr. Lidiya Lund is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. She received her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Lviv National Medical University in Lviv, Ukraine, where she advanced to the position of Associate Professor at the Department of Pathology. After coming to the USA Dr. Lund completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She then did a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lund launched her career in the US as an Attending Pathologist at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and then joined Pathology Department of St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, first as an Associate Attending Pathologist and Pathology Consultant for the Continuum Hospitals in New York, NY and then as Director of Anatomic Pathology at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center. She has more than 25 years of experience in general pathology and breast pathology. Dr. Lund has received several honors for her scientific accomplishments in her native Ukraine, authored a monograph and multiple articles and lectured extensively in the United States and overseas. She is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
