Alfred Fayemi, M.Sc., M.D., Joins CBLPath Team of PathologistsHe is an accomplished pathologist, author and photographer10/5/2011 RYE BROOK, N.Y. — CBLPath recently welcomed Alfred Fayemi, M.Sc., M.D. as the newest member of its medical staff. An experienced surgical pathologist, Dr. Fayemi is reading genitourinary, gastrointestinal, breast, mixed and podiatric pathology cases as part of CBLPath’s team of board certified pathologists and cytopathologists. Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Fayemi earned his M.D. degree from the Hebrew University–Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, Israel. He received his Master of Science in Pathology with distinction from the same university, and went on to train in the United States at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where he completed his residency. During his career, Dr. Fayemi has held positions that include Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology, Mount Sinai School of Medicine; Director of Laboratories, St. Mary Hospital; and Vice President and Professor of Pathology, Capital University of Integrative Medicine. He currently serves as Director of Pathology and Laboratories at Hoboken University Hospital in New Jersey. Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Fayemi is licensed in New York and New Jersey. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, as well as book chapters and entire books on the topics of pathology and medical education. Dr. Fayemi has enjoyed many personal as well as professional accomplishments. A gifted photographer, he has shared images of life in Africa in three critically acclaimed books that he authored. His photos have also been published in magazines, newspapers and journals. In addition, his work has been displayed in solo exhibitions across the U.S. as well as in Nigeria and Hong Kong.
