Thomas Curtis Joins CBLPath as Vice President of Marketing8/7/2009 RYE BROOK, N.Y. — Leading independent anatomic pathology and molecular diagnostic laboratory CBLPath is pleased to announce that R. Thomas Curtis is now serving as the company’s Vice President of Marketing. As Vice President of Marketing, Curtis will be recreating the role and expanding the size of the Marketing Department. His strong scientific training and background and 10 years of increasing marketing responsibility in the molecular space uniquely qualifies him to serve as the key marketing strategist for CBLPath as it dramatically expands its esoteric/molecular test menu, geographic reach and target clients. Prior to joining CBLPath, Curtis served as Senior Marketing Manager for QIAGEN, Inc., a provider of sample and assay technologies. There he initiated and led a global team in the creation of a streamlined custom product and service process, cultivating relationships with key opinion leaders in molecular diagnostics and applied testing market segments. Curtis’ previous professional experience also includes service as Associate Director of Strategic Marketing for Nanogen, Inc., Marketing Manager for Life Technologies (IBP Division), Marketing Manager for OriGene Technologies, Inc., Sales Representative for Amersham Pharmacia Biotech and Research Associate for Human Genome Sciences, Inc. in its Department of Molecular Biology, Exploratory Research Group. Curtis is a member of the Association for Molecular Pathology. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, with minors in Chemistry and English, as well as graduate level coursework in Biochemistry.
