CBLPath Promotes Jason Jones to Chief Information Officer

RYE BROOK, N.Y. — Independent anatomic pathology and molecular diagnostic laboratory CBLPath, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Jones to the position of Chief Information Officer.

Information technology is an area of increasing complexity and importance for laboratories and their clients. As Chief Information Officer, Jones will be responsible for identifying key technologies and technological advances that will enhance both CBLPath’s operations and client-based business solutions and then managing the development and incorporation of those technologies into the company’s information technology platform. Importantly, Jones will continue to lead the I.T. team that he has built and managed since May 2003.

With CBLPath since its inception, Jones has served in many positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President of Information Technology. In addition to his key management role, Jones has also served as one of the company’s two lead designers for the internally developed Total Pathology Solution (TPS) laboratory information management system (patent pending), Web Portal, TechPath CaseManager and related software solutions.

Jones has more than 13 years of experience in information technology in both the public and private sectors. Nine of those years are in the healthcare industry, with a particular focus on medical software design and development.

Prior to joining CBLPath, Jones served as Director of Information Technology for The Hillside Group, LLC, a provider of financial and marketing services to the elective healthcare markets. He also held the position of Associate Director of Information Technology for Radiology Associates, P.A., a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services throughout Central Florida.

Jones studied computer science at Central Florida Community College.
